After
trying to decide on what breed of dog we wanted, we were surprised
with an early wedding present in the form of a tiny bundle of energy
that was Bam - a cocker spaniel puppy. Now eleven months old, he has grown
into a small horse. But he is so loving and so obedient that he is the
master of the household and delightful to be with. He knows a lot of
tricks already, which he shows off willingly - well, for treats.
We're lucky that Bam's mom has a dog-loving boss, and he gets to join
four other dogs at work daily, so he's well socialized and has a lot of
playmates on a daily basis. He also loves our weekend visits to our
local "doggy beach" and play in the water and sand with a million other
dogs... and then track the sand into the car and house. A mess, but
worth it. Some co-workers also got Bam's brother and sister, so he gets
to visit with his "family" at times as well.
