About Us
Couillion, the Dog of the Day
Name: Couillion
Age: Eighteen months old
Gender: Male Breed: Australian Cattle Dog
Home: Mobile, Alabama, USA

My dog's name is Couillion! The name Couillion is a cajun term meaning "crazy." He is a Australian Cattle Dog and/or "Blue Heeler" and he is very active. His favorite game is frisbee and never misses any of them when thrown. He is a very loyal pet and is constantly wanting to learn more. He came to us in June of 2005. We thought he was a stray, but after a couple of weeks of asking around and no one claimed him, he became ours. He did not want to leave us. It was like he decided to adopt us as his parents. We took him to the vet in August of 2005 and had his shots and checkup. The vet told us of his breed and also that he was approximately one year old. So as of this date that would make him approximately eighteen months old.

Couillion has come a long way as far as being more affectionate and not to mention fell in good hands of being treated like a King. We have spent more money on him, from training courses, electric wire fencing to real fencing, toys, bones, good dog food, vet bills regarding shots, checkups, and boarding while we are away. Not to mention my constant worry of him having bad breath, so I brush his teeth at night right along with cleaning his ears, washing his face and softening his paw pads with moisturizer.

Did I mention we were not looking for a dog at this time. We knew eventually that we would get a dog but were really not ready since we have dealt with two hurricanes in the last year and a half.

However, we can't imagine being without Couillion! We miss him so much when we are away from him. He is our entertainment and constantly makes us laugh and smile. Our life has changed because of him and I never would have imagined this responsibility being so meaningful. He is loved and I know that he loves us unconditionally.
