Sass
is a princess. She hides her toys and bones from the two other dogs
in the house, and this past week has taken to putting her rawhides on
the kitchen counter: no counter-surfing is allowed, so none of the dogs
can have a bone on the counter.
Sass is an independent thinker. She doesn't ask to be petted. She
figures things out for herself. She is a fast learner and likes to be
challenged. She is doing Novice obedience training and will probably
start competitive obedience next fall/winter. She gives a paw or a
foot (her front feet are named differently) she rolls over, she jumps
over things on command, she gives a hug, she can do a terrific
down-stay or sit-stay from quite a distance and won't break it without a
command (most of the time)! She does a stand-stay for examination, she
can heel off-leash, retrieve a dumbbell. She loves to chase you or be
chased around the yard.
When you return after an absence she goes nuts, and she is very licky,
would like to thoroughly clean you, and she leans against you (but is
not otherwise very demonstrative in a golden-type way).
