We
rescued Fudge in September of 2004. He came from a home where he
was neglected and had to share any attention with two other dogs. His
owner was never home and they were left to fend for themselves. I got
a call one Saturday morning and was asked if I wanted to adopt this
dog, of course I said yes! We weren't sure at first if we should,
because I have been handicapped since a bad fall in 2002. But I was
very depressed and needed company, so my family agreed to take him.
From the first day I fell in love with this bundle of love. He needed
attention and love and so did I. Since then we can't imagine life with
out him, he's a good boy. He has brought me laughter, love and
companionship. Now this is a story with a happy ending and I would love
to share this with everyone. Since adopting him, I have become more
aware of the need for people to rescue these great dogs. Since then I
started to crochet small blankets for homeless shelters to give to
animals in need. There is always something you can do to help, and Fudge
helps me just by being himself.
