is a vivacious girl who came to us from the wonderful people at
Hearts United for Animals.
Before coming to the rescue sanctuary she had been left to starve in the
Nebraska countryside with two of her pups. Despite her unfortunate
past, she harbors no ill will against humanity and, in fact, loves
people!
August's favorite activities include going for walks, chasing squirrels
(her favorite kind of "Fast Food"), lounging on the couch, and generally
being glamorous. In the summertime she likes to dig holes in the
back yard and lay in the soft, cool dirt. In the winter, she romps and
rolls in the snow. August shares her home with her Welsh corgi sister
Bessie, four cats, and four box turtles. She is one fantastic dog!!!
