This
is our dog Mackenzie. Aside from being loyal, caring, affectionate,
handsome, smart and extremely happy, Mackenzie is also a huge part of
our family and friends' lives. He is extremely intuitive, and seems to
know when others are happy, sad, in pain, sick or in need of a good old
doggy kiss. He has our friends and family members names memorized so
when we leave a family function, we tell him to say good-bye to each
person (by name) and he runs to that person so they will pet him goodbye.
Mackenzie is happiest when he is outdoors hiking, canoeing, exploring
and retrieving. He is an avid water dog and loves to swim, dive for
rocks, look for sticks and jump off docks. He is a squirrel and gopher
hunter, but as of yet to be successful. He takes his car rides very
seriously and loves taking in all the sights, sounds and smells. He will
let you know he wants to play by backing up and kicking you with his
back leg. This has shocked many guests at our house; and they ask, "Did
your dog just kick me?" He must be great at mathematics as he is somehow
able to calculate exactly how to position himself to take up the largest
possible portion of our bed at night. He then snores in bliss until
morning.
I can't begin to tell you everything he has done for our lives and how
special he is to us. He has given us so much love and many fond
memories. He is the best thing that has ever happened to us and we
cherish each day we have with him.
