Silas
is an amazing dog. He is such a character. He is a unique dog for
these parts and gets a lot of attention. But what makes him so special
is how much he loves us. When I drop off the kids at school in the
morning he cries and whimpers when I leave them at school and drive
away. He always needs to know where we are. He travels from room to room
to check on all of us when we are home. He starts to get excited when he
realizes the kids are going to be home soon. He loves each of us equally
and so much. He has some health problems and a lot of our friends
and family think we are crazy to keep him around and pay the bills -
they just don't get it. He is such a great friend! We don't care
that we have to hide all the shoes and stuffed animals. We don't care
that we can't leave anything on the kitchen counters. We just care that
he is here and a part of our family.
