Misty
lives with her family in Idaho. Sometimes we call her "Pretty
Girl" or "Baby Doll." Daddy has a special whistle that she knows is just
for her, and she comes immediately when she hears it. She likes to sleep
on her back with her legs spread-eagle. She loves her calico kitty
Calamity Jane, but thinks all other cats are meant to be chased. She has
quite a vocabulary, and has even figured out some of the spellings we've
had to use (like w.a.l.k.). She's also learned many synonyms that we've
had to start using. If you ask her where the squirrel is, she will run
to the nearest tree, try to climb it, and moan until she finally
realizes she should give up. She loves to go down the slides at the
park, especially the twisty ones.
We got her when I was struggling to get pregnant. She kept me company
and brought great joy to our lives. She has been the center of our
world and went everywhere with us. She even got to come to work with me
everyday, when I was grooming dogs and cats at a Boise Veterinary
Clinic. She thought she owned the place and kept all the dogs in line.
Then, about a year and a half ago, we were finally blest with a
beautiful son. She has taken it very well. Now our little toddler and
Misty are best buddies. He adores her and calls her "Mi." Misty
follows him all over the house, hoping for a treat. She puts up with so
much and has a heart of gold. We feel so blessed to have her as part of
our family.
