Hello
everybody! My name is Tobey. I celebrated my one year birthday last
June 4th. I cannot even tell you the great doggie birthday I had. First,
my mom took me to this special doggie barkery in Sacramento, where we
met up with my grandma and grandpaw. It was greeeaat because I have
never walked around a busy city since I am what my mom calls a
'suburbia' dog. At the barkery, they bought me all kinds of treats
including my own pupcake birthday goodie. After that, we walked to a
local coffee shop where I sat outside and ate Mexican for the first time
and then opened my presents. It was a 'howlin' good time.
During my free times, my mom and I like to support local animal shelter
causes. In mid-June, my mom, grandma, grandpaw and I participated in a
5K walk to raise money for the local pet shelter. The weekend after
that, my mom, her friend, and I walked in another fund raiser in Truckee.
(In my picture, you can see my nifty dog wrist bands I wear to show my
spirit!) Since I am a shelter dog, I just love participating in these
events. I get to meet other dogs, experience new smells, exercise, raise
money for animals who need help, and most importantly, I get to hang out
with my mom. (Unfortunately my dad is busy with work since the military
sent him temporarily to far away places... I woof you dad!)
