Kirby
is such a special dog, as she makes me smile every day without
fail! I got her from the RSPCA as my old dog (Biscuit, who is a
fourteen-year-old Kelpie) could no longer go for walks or play for very long.
Kirby is very smart and knows plenty of tricks including balancing food
or her nose then catching it. She doesn't bark much but always howls at
sirens when she hears them!! She is friendly and will play with any
animal big or small. One of her favorite friends was my old rat, they
would play together for hours! She also gets along with Biscuit
(although Biscuit is the boss!), our four cats, my Dad's dog and our five chickens!
One night when she was still a puppy, we heard whimpering from the back
yard but couldn't see anything (as Kirby is almost all black), then my
sister spotted her stuck up in a tree! She had managed to climb up four
branches but then became stuck!
She has certainly brightened up my life since I got her and I'm sure
there will be many more funny stories to come in the future!
