Roxie
came to our home as a 1.1 pound, ten-week-old Yorkie pup. We were
so afraid we would hurt her somehow because she was so tiny! However,
Roxie was a tiny force to be reckoned with from day one! She quickly
trained us that she was in charge and grew to be an 8.2 pound fiercely
determined hunter and protector of the house and entire neighborhood!
She has a deep bark for a little pooch and when other animals or
unknown people walk on or by our property she flies out her little doggy
door and jumps up and down barking from the safety of her deck. She also
enjoys patrolling our closed in back yard patio where she enjoys hunting
lizards or the hope of catching a bird or rodent. Although she loves to
hunt and protect, she has that sweet loving little girl side of her that
just likes to curl up on mom's lap and watch t.v. together or sit on her
dad's chair in the exact pose as he is in. And of course, she loves to
sleep in her little bed every night at the end of our bed until 6:30
a.m. when she walks up dad's back to remind him it's time for breakfast!
