Rocky
was rescued from the local animal shelter this spring. He was
about to be put down just because he wasn't getting adopted and since I
recently lost my dog of thirteen years, I went to the animal shelter to
get a dog and saw him.
He was in his cage with no food and just laying there so I took him
home. He was very sick and they told me that he was going to get better
with some antibiotics, but two days later I had to rush him to the
emergency vet clinic because he reach a fever of 106 degrees (an average
dog's temperature is about 101 degrees, so 106 is serious and
dangerous). He had a pretty bad infection and had to be put on
antibiotics for two weeks and had to take other medications as well.
Now he is all better and full of life. He is just an angel because he
made me pull thru the loss of my little princess and I was happy to give
him another chance at life. That's what makes Rocky - and all animal
shelter dogs - special. Won't you give some dog that chance?
