We
brought home Maisey (pronounced like Daisy) as a baby Golden
Retriever. She's fourteen weeks old in this picture. She is our little, baby
girl. At that point she was learning to walk with her leash, go up the
stairs, and she loved to play soccer with ice cubes even then!
She moved in with Teddy, our eleven year old Rescued Mutt. Maisey is
bringing lots of life to dear old Teddy who has been an Alpha Dog who
didn't much like other dogs or other people. Although, Teddy is Super
Sweet, he is also Super Shy. Maisey and Teddy love to walk alongside
each other down the street and race to the corner.
Maisey is the best! She is a mini golden - she's a runt! And, she's
very light in color, which we love. She's just under 50 pounds and she's
nine months old. I call her a hot dog, because she has short little legs
and a long body.
Maisey loves to kiss and lick and hug you. She loves to be in your lap
or in your arms... although she's become quite heavy to pick up. She
absolutely loves children and playing with kids. Maisey also loves
the water. If we put ice cubes in her water bowl she begins to play in
the water with her face and paws. She then "water skates" across the
floor in front of the bowl.
Maisey loves her stuffed toys. We have about 100 of them in the house
and she always has one in her mouth. In the mornings she loves to leave
the bedroom with a slipper in her mouth to go outside and play.
She is such a happy, playful puppy. We walk her daily and she brings a
smile to so many peoples faces along the walk. Everyone in the
neighborhood knows her by name.
