About Us
Nelle, the Dog of the Day
Name: Nelle
Age: One year old
Gender: Female Breed: Yellow Labrador Retriever
Home: Long Island, New York, USA

Nelle is named after that adorable little yellow lab puppy used as the Cottonelle mascot. She was actually named before we got her, because they had fallen in love with her as well. We brought her home after the few lonely months we had spent without a dog. We had lost our dear friend Shana, a yellow lab-mix, of eleven years. Nelle has helped fill the void with her loveable, clumsy, silly and gracious personality. She loves people, children, other dogs and sticks! She follows everyone around the house, can't wait to go for a ride in the car and is a natural in the water. She's very smart and has learned many tricks. Her funniest and most unique are her ability to "give high five" and help herself to ice water and ice cubes from our refrigerator! She loves to cuddle and is spoiled beyond repair! Every bed in the house belongs to her. She is a wonderful companion and has touched the hearts of everyone she meets. Nelle is still quite puppy-like, but don't let that fool you! She is mature in knowing when she is needed to comfort and protect, and will be a lasting loyal pal in our family for years to come.
