This
is my sweet Westie, Grits. Although he was thirteen and a half, I
still considered him a puppy. He was always spunky and ran around the
back yard chasing squirrels. He always stood at the door waiting for you
as soon as he'd hear your car pull in the driveway. He was loving and
affectionate.
During September of 2004, we discovered he had bladder cancer and the
doctors told us he'd have three months to a year to live. Well, Grits
surpassed the odds and lived for another year and a half until March 6,
2006. It's extremely hard to lose something so close to your family. He
was like a little brother to me. It still think about him every day.
