About Us
Tango, the Dog of the Day
Name: Tango
Age: Fifteen years old
Gender: Male Breed: American Cocker Spaniel
Home: West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA

This is Darjun's Two-to-Tango, better known as Tango. We bought him from the breeder when he was five months old and he has had us wrapped around his little tail ever since. The picture above was taken when he was ten years old. Many people think he is a Springer Spaniel because of his markings, but he is actually a Parti-Color Cocker Spaniel.

Tango's always been a rather quiet dog, more likely to be curled up on the couch next to you than begging to be played with, which suits us perfectly. He's always exhibited a preference to be on the furniture rather than the floor - you often find him asleep on the kitchen table, and even the dining room table isn't safe if you don't push all the chairs in. In the winter, he likes to sleep in bed with us - when it is very cold, we'll wake up with him wrapped around one of our heads! In the summer, he likes to sleep in the window sill if the windows are open (we found a sturdy cat perch to make that easier) or flopped down on an air conditioner vent.

Tango likes to travel, too; mostly in cars, but he's also flown to Florida three times. His favorite trips are riding on Mommy's lap in the Miata with the top down, especially when we stop for water ice (he likes mango).

Tango is now fifteen years old and is enjoying a leisurely life as a canine senior citizen. He can't hear anymore, and his arthritis keeps him off the furniture, but he's coping with old age quite well. He has always been a smart dog, and now he has learned how to ask for things he used to do for himself.

We've had nearly fifteen wonderful years of being part of Tango's pack, and look forward to a few more years of him brightening up our days!
