Casey
is special because he is a licensed Therapy Dog working at Hershey
Medical Center ICU and Geisinger Medical Center Children's Hospital. He
frequently is found in church, as well, doing programs with children,
demonstrating the relationship of dog and his master working together to
show a trusting relationship and comparing it to the relationship we have
with God. Casey works with children having reading disabilities, giving
them the confidence to want to learn to read, while they read aloud to him
in a public library. He has twice been nominated for the AKC ACE Award, an
award given each year to the top Therapy Dog, Service Dog, Search and Rescue
Dog and Police dog. Casey trains and competes in Obedience, Rally
Obedience, and Agility. If Casey can put a smile on your face and for just
a few minutes make you forget your troubles, his job is done.
