Ursa
was named after the Little Dipper constellation, otherwise known as
the Little Bear which she looked a lot like as a little puppy.
Ursa is one year old and has been the best puppy I have ever had. Chow
Chow and Shepherd mix I believe, notice the "drinking grape kool-aid"
tongue. Ursa loves to snuggle on the couch and is an awesome watch dog.
This is her picture at one year old, pausing a second from running
crazy in a field, and of course I had to send the one of her as a puppy,
getting stuck in the gate trying to get back in! I had to break the
gate lattice to free her (she wasn't injured but her pride was).
Ursa is an extremely affectionate, loving dog that loves to go for car
rides. If the car door is open you will find Ursa camped out in the
passenger seat. Her favorite toy is a stuffed tiger almost half her
size that she takes to her bed every night. She doesn't know any tricks
but is well mannered and enjoys going on walks. She has been the best
dog I have ever had even in her puppy stage. I never had to housebreak
her because she always whimpered as a pup to be let out and she never
chewed on anything but her toys. When I have a bad day, Ursa is always
there at the door to great me with and madly wagging tail. In the
mornings when I get up, we always get on the floor so I can rub her
belly and do morning stretches (her front lags go straight out and her
back legs go straight back as I rub her belly).
