Prince
is a thirteen-pound Chihuahua, yes, he's a pretty big Chihuahua. He
came into my family about five years ago when he was about four months
old. He was given to us by my aunt whose friend's chihuahua has a litter
of puppies running around his backyard in North Carolina. They randomly
picked one and he began his sixteen-hour drive to Jersey City. He was scared of
us at first, but after a day or two he started to warm up to us.
Prince knows how to sit, lie down, up, and hand hand. He is a funny
Chihuahua, he loves to go outside and bark at the big dogs from afar, but
when they get closer he hides behind me first and then greets his big
friend. Prince loves to play with cats, especially kittens. I fostered a
ten-week-old kitten for a month and both of them had so much fun together.
They chased each other around the house and then they cuddled together to
sleep.
Prince is like our little watch dog, he thinks he will protect his family
from everything. Every time someone walks through our gate he will run to
the sofa and look through the blinds to see who it is, when it's time to
come home from school or work we will usually find him standing on the
sofa looking through his little spot on the window. He broke four rows of
the blinds by accident because he always pulls it down with his nose. The
set of blinds that we have now is the third one we have gone through.
Prince wants everyone to like him. My dad doesn't really play with him or
anything, so Prince will cuddle with him whenever he can, just to make
sure that my dad likes Prince. He has an annoying habit of going through
your purse or jacket pockets and always ends up eating the biggest bills
you have in there. But we love him!
