My
name is Bugle and I'm a happy beagle hound, I'm gonna rap my story so
please stick around. You see this pic was taken on a special day - my
first anniversary with my "forever family" who adopted me. I have a
brand new mommy and a new daddy too; my girlfriend's name is
Ginger...she's so cute, aarrroooo, aarrroooo!
Here is how it started just a year or so ago: My first family said,
"Sorry, we don't want you anymo'." Something 'bout my hair made their
noses itch; they sneezed a lot and finally said "We've had enough of
this!" So they took me to a rescue called N-M-B-R. They said good bye,
dropped me off, and got back in their car. I liked it there; I made new
friends; my rescue Mom's a doll. I didn't miss my first family much I
was having such a ball!
Then one day an e-mail came; someone saw me on the web. They have a
lonely beagle girl who needs a friend they said. "He's a beautiful boy,
we love his spots and his manner seems so sweet. We've searched the net,
seen hundreds of hounds but none that can compete. We have the perfect
house and yard where beagles can safely play with grass and trees, a
pool, a spa, a tall wall to keep cars away." Mommy Trish cried, "Bugle,
you're such a lucky boy! You're going to have a brand new home filled
with love and joy."
One dark night they came for me and, man, I was so scared. I didn't want
to leave my pack and rescue home so dear. Mommy Trish with a tear in her
eye said, "Bugle, this is my prayer. To find you a forever home with
folks who really care. You'll always be in my heart, you know, how could
I forget that face? But now its time for you to go to your forever
place."
Mommy Trish was right, of course; my dreams have all come true. I'm
loved, adored and pampered and guess what, Italian too! Our home is
named San Vito for a mountain far away; our motto, "la vita bella"... we
live it everyday! Yes, my life is beautiful; every sunrise is a joy. And
now you've heard the happy tale of this lucky Bugle Boy!
Just a word before I go to those of you out there who may be looking for
a pet; do you have a home to share? Please check your local shelters
where I'm sure you'll find a loving hound who needs a home but somehow
got left behind. If only you could stop and look deep into their eyes
you would hear a plea of hope but confusion in their cries. "Don't know
why I was abandoned; don't know what I did wrong. I only know the nights
are cold and the days are oh so long. I have so much love to give and a
brave heart that's strong and true. Are you the special one who thinks I
am special too?"
