This
is Duke, our 175-pound lap dog. We got him from upstate New York
from a great breeder. He loves to snuggle up with us at home. He also
loves the outdoors but gets tired easily and plops down were he stands
and won't move. He greets us when we come home every day with slobber
but that's what we love about him. He is very lazy and you can usually
find him napping. He thinks of himself as a guard dog but is a coward at
heart. He loves to play with our smaller dog, Comet who tries not to be
squashed by his big feet. He is huge and doesn't even know it. He also
barks at absolutely nothing.
Duke has many dreams at night and he usually wakes you up with his
whimpers. He thinks he is the king of the house (which is pretty much
true). He loves winter and snow and doesn't like the heat of the
house so usually falls asleep near cold doors or on the cold tile. We only
have had Duke for a year but in the first few seconds of being with him
you fall in love.
