My
family has owned Prince for seven years now, and how much our love
for him now, and how much our love for him grows over that time! Prince
is an extremely special dog for various reasons. Firstly, as a
rottweiler, we often get worried looks from over-protective parents when
we walk him. As you can see, he is a very big dog, but with an equally
large heart and sense of humour. However, everyone that knows him well
will no longer see a rottweiler and automatically think: "Child killer!"
Prince proves that any dog, whatever it's breed, can be loveable and
adorable if given time and love.
Prince is also quite a miracle dog. He's had two tumours in his life.
The first was when he was about two years old, on his back near his
tail. At the time I was only about six or seven years old, and thus
didn't know how terrible tumours are. Prince was lucky and the tumour
wasn't cancerous. The second time however I did understand the dangers.
This was under a year ago, when he developed a tumour on his neck. The
vet told my parents he was about 90 odd percent sure it was cancerous.
However, when the tests came back, it showed our miracle dog had escaped
cancer again!
Prince is a best friend to me and my family; he is always there for us
to hug, share our excitement with, or just to fuss over. He is a key
member of our family and I would do absolutely anything for him. We
wouldn't trade him for the world, and he has a home with us for the rest
of his life.
