I
am not sure on Babygirl's age - she just happened to stop by my in-law's
one day and never left. When she got there she was so sick from
malnutrition she could barely walk. She took right to me and followed me
around the house as best as she could. We posted pictures and ads around
and nobody claimed her and honestly I was thankful because I was afraid
she would end up dead if she went back to her prior owners since she was
already in such bad shape. The day after I met her, I went to my vet and
asked what I needed to get her back up and running and I bought everything
he suggested and in less than a week, finally started gaining some weight
back and was able to walk around and almost run without falling down.
Babygirl stole my heart right off the bat. I told my husband that I would
love to have her but with already having two dogs I knew he wasn't
interested in another. But little did I know she stole his heart, too. She
stayed with my in-laws for two weeks and they were coming over for dinner
one night and hubby told me to call them and tell them to bring her over
that she was moving in. She's been with us now for three years and is full
of energy. She does not let the male dogs run over her at all. She runs
the house. My Lab won't even come into our bedroom at night if she's in
there, unless we actually go to the door and bring him in because he's
afraid to make her mad. lol! She is a baby girl but she's also the Queen.
Another rescue and another life saved!
