Meet
Tank, our beautiful 3 1/2-month old German Shepherd. He is the
pride and joy of our home. Tank joined our family about a month ago,
and it's already hard to imagine life without him.
Tank was almost named Chewbacca. He is as soft and furry as Chewy
from Star Wars, but he also loves to "talk" like Chewy, making strange,
bear-like sounds and is really intent on making you listen. He loves to
chew practically anything, but especially all those things that he is
not supposed to - like our shoes!
Tank is also famous in our home for his Michael Jackson "Moonwalk"
impression. Whenever he thinks he is getting a treat, he sits, and
proceeds to slide backwards across the kitchen floor, as if he is
moonwalking. It is extremely entertaining and keeps us always laughing.
As much as he is entertaining and funny, Tank is also highly intelligent
and already shows his loyalty and protectiveness for the family. He
knows his basic commands (sit, stay, come) and can even do them using
sign language! He always makes sure we are all together, and if we are
separated, he makes sure to "tell" us all about it once we get home!
As big as his ears and paws are, we already know his heart is even
bigger!
