My
name is Barq's. I am named after the famous New Orleans root beer.
My family says my name is appropriate because I also bark a lot! I am
very much loved by my family who took me in from a New Orleans shelter
after hurricane Katrina, where I was left in a cardboard box. I got
really sick at the shelter, but I am healthy now. In this picture I am
nine months old, but I had my birthday since then and am a whole year old
now.
The people at the shelter say I am a mix of sheltie/rat terrier, but my
dad says I look like Ed the hyena from "The Lion King". My family calls
my breed BFM (beloved family mutt). I have a brother named Jackson. I
have very big eyes (better to see you with) and I have a very big heart.
I am a hunter at heart and love to chase dragonflies. I also love to
snuggle, too. Life is good.
