Our
dog's name is Bear. He is a "Nearly White" Yellow Labrador
Retriever. In this picture, he was eight weeks old. He is our "polar
bear" dog. When we went to pick him out at the kennel, there were about
fifteen puppies from different litters. All of the rest of the puppies
were jumping and barking and excited. But Bear just sat calmly in the
corner and looked at us with his huge, beautiful brown eyes, as if to
say, "Hello. Pick me." It was love at first sight!
He has continued to be the calmest, sweetest, most gentle puppy in the
world. Bear almost never barks. When we come home from school, he sits
quietly outside and waits for us to come and give him some pats on the
head. Bear loves to swim. When we are in the pool, Bear loves to jump
in and swim with us. He also loves soccer! We take him on long walks
to the park, and he has his own (very torn) soccer ball, which he
fetches and runs around with. When you kick the ball toward the net, he
chases after it, to keep it from going in. We think that in a few more
months, we'll be able to call him our own personal goal keeper! We have
never had a dog that we have loved so much. He is the best dog in the
universe!
