This
is Tank Turk, our Old English Bulldog. Tank is a little rascal. He
has too much energy for his own good. Sometimes we wonder if he is part
cat due to sneekiness, laziness, stubborness, and desire to walk on
tables, furniture, and of course people. He isn't a tall fella but he
sure can jump. He enjoys keeping everyone clean, fuzzy things (which
includes clothes, slippers, stuffed animals, etc.), tomato juice, and of
course being boss. Tank is adorable and loving, especially when he
receives his daily massage.
Tank is quite a character. He knows all of the basic tricks, he can do
"doggie" push ups, speak, pick which hand, and knows to sit and wipe his
paws upon entering the house. Tank is a very affectionate guy. He
loves to give kisses, especialy to daddy's bald head!
He now has an adopted/rescued sister named Sadie. She is a one-year-old
Doberman. He has helped to calm her down and put her in her place.
Tank is definitely the "good" big brother. He often tattles on her when
she has an accident in the house. He will bark until someone checks to
see if she "made" a mistake then he relishes in watching it cleaned up.
Tank is quite the character.
Tank does not like water or to be groomed. He is a gentle giant, at 75
pounds he puts up a fight when his nails are trimmed, but then cuddles
and sits on your lap for a massage. He whines if attention stops. Tank
enjoys sleeping in late, often across the bed, kicking one of us out. He
has to be wrestled to wake up, often peering out with one eye
thinking..." do I really have to get up now?" As for tricks, he often
"does his duty" then races around our landscaped race track of a back
yard in determination. He often runs a few laps then tires, laying on
the ground in his back leg frog pose.
