This
is Shortstop, my beloved Australian Shepherd who recently passed
away at age nine. I got him as a puppy at a farm a few miles from where I
lived. He was the only one who came to me on both visits, so more or
less he picked me.
As a puppy he loved to run through the yard with his leash in his mouth
and play with his favorite toy, binky. As he got older he preferred to go
on nice long walks and just sit beside you rather than play. He was very
smart and could do many tricks, sit, shake, roll over, speak, dance,
wave and give a high five.
At Christmas he always got tons of presents, he had his own stocking.
And he would open his presents, but only on Christmas Day never early.
His birthday was a big event, with cake, ice cream, party hats and of
course presents. In the summer he enjoyed relaxing his pool.
I loved him very much and he is greatly missed by me, his mommy. He is
also missed by his human grandparents, who took great care of him when I
had to be away.
He was very special to me and I miss him very much, not a day goes by I
don't think of how happy he made my life and how much he loved me and I
loved him.
