Titus, the Dog of the Day
Name: Titus
Age: One year old
Gender: Male Breed: Saint Bernard
Home: Gilbert, Arizona, USA

I am the proud mom of Titus. Titus loves in Gilbert, AZ with his brother Jack, and sister Jill. He was a surprise birthday present for his dad, Tony.

Titus is such a gentle and loving puppy. He is well known around the our neighborhood as the kids often stop by to play with him. He loves to play with his green squeaky toy and walks around the house most of the day squeaking away! He is growing more and more every day, and continues to amaze us with the new things he does. Titus loves to gaze in your eyes while he sits on your lap. He is one puppy you will truly fall in love with... he just makes your heart melt! He is four months old in his second picture.

Titus has gotten much bigger since then but he is still the most adorable and fluffy dog on earth. He is now 105 pounds and just turned one on September 5th. He is very active and athletic. His dad takes him to the park every morning and throws his green squeaky ball for him. He loves to chase the ball and sit in the sprinklers while he is resting. Titus doesn't go anywhere without his green squeaky ball. If he is not "squeaking" away, he is laying or sleeping with it right near his face. He is too big to sit on our laps, but I do lay on the floor a lot with him because he thinks he is still a lap dog. His new thing is to sit at the bottom of the stairs-- his butt sits on the stairs and his two front legs are on the floor. It is very funny! He is also a great jumper... I tell ya, he loves to jump for that green squeaky ball! (See the bottom picture.)

At about seven months old, Titus got very sick. After a few days in the hospital, we found out that Titus has Addison's Disease. Titus's adrenal gland doesn't produce the steroids his body needs to function so now he has to get a steriod shot once a month and he takes 2 pills everyday. It was a very scary time for Titus's dad and I because we almost lost him. I am happy to report that Titus is as happy and healthy as ever! He is very special to us and to Jack and Jill (his doggy brother and sister) and we are very fortunate to have him in our family. He is a very good listener and is still so gentle. I call him my "gentle giant." Every where we go, we get compliments on how beautiful Titus is and we couldn't agree more!

Thank you for letting me share one of my loves, Titus, with the world!
