Hunter, the Dog of the Day
Name: Hunter
Age: Four years old
Gender: Male Breed: Cocker Spaniel
Home: Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA

Hello. My name is Hunter and I am a four year old spaniel from Tennessee with Southern charm. My daily routine includes the soaking up of cuddling and petting, but my favorite past time is going on vacation to the beach. I love to feel the sand between my paw pads, the salty air blowing through my fur, and long morning walks.

Hunter is a three year old Cocker spaniel recently moved to Columbia, SC. Hunter has a strong and independent personality, but is also very sweet and gentle. He puts on a tough boy act, but underneath he loves sleeping on his mom's lap and getting a good belly rub. He is very playful and loves to run in his back yard. To Hunter, nothing beats an afternoon playing fetch with his tennis balls. We have yet to wear him out. As long as we're willing to throw the ball, he's willing to chase it. Hunter knows all of his basic obedience commands and we are trying to get him started with agility training.

Although he was born in Georgia, he is a loyal University of Tennessee fan, like his father. His brother, Grayson, a black cocker spaniel, supports their mom's alma mater, the University of South Carolina. When we first got Hunter, his dad proudly placed a Univ. of Tennessee collar on his neck and a USC collar on Grayson's neck. Within minutes, Hunter had bitten Grayson's collar off and was parading around the house with the destroyed USC collar in his mouth. To date, we've gone through five USC collars, a USC T Shirt and two USC hats. Hunter definitely does not like the color garnet, which is a shame since he's living in a town of USC fans.

Hunter is a great dog and brings much happiness to his family.
