Luther
is our first dog. We wanted a dog for a long time but couldn't
have one due to allergies. We chose a collie for a couple of reasons.
1. We have cats, and needed a dog who could get along with them and 2.
Lassie. Who doesn't love Lassie, right?
Luther is probably as smart as Lassie - at getting what he wants. He'll
work at a problem until he's solved it, whether it's opening the baby
gate to get at the cats' food, letting his brother (also a collie) out
of the crate, or stealing cookies at the store. He's calm and laid back
except in the presence of Harley Davidsons, for some reason. He loves to
swim in the lake and chill in his chair. He's great with everyone and
every animal, big and small.
He needs a lot of brushing, but when he's had enough he'll walk away
after giving you kisses so you melt and let him go. He really enjoys
looking at his reflection in store windows.
He makes us laugh every day. We love Luther lots.
