Mandy
was born in Colorado, one of five puppies, and the smallest of the
two females of the litter. She has been a sweet dog from the beginning.
She was very easy, it only took two days, to house break her. She always
has loved her toys and food. She has been my best friend for over eleven
years. She's been relatively healthy but has had a couple of ACL tears,
one repaired and the one just recent I have elected not to fix as it
seems to be ok as long as I don't walk her long distances, and the
surgery was such a major deal for her. That's why I pull her in a cart.
She is always there for me in good times as well as bad. I am legally
blind so her friendship is appreciated more. She accepts me and loves me
unconditionally.
Mandy's Favorite Things: Mandy has three favorite things. First of all
her food. Mandy loves food and enjoys everything she eats. The first
thing up in the morning she gets a dog biscuit. Than her dog food. She
always shares some of my dinner also. Than, toys. She has a toy box just
full of toys and will play with all of them if I had them out. Than,
going for a ride in her cart. She loves the attention people give her.
They all want to stop and ask about her and want to pet her. What a ham!
The Way Mandy's Unique Personality Comes Out: Mandy is different in how
well she accepts people and yet is still protective. She seems to know
when folks are good natured and when they are not. She's also very
adaptive and trusts me when I want her to accept a situation. I've never
been around a dog that is so genuine good natured and loving. Mandy
shows it when she visits a nursing home for pet therapy for the residents.
