This
is my baby, Abbie. She was a stray dog that a good friend of mine
found and took in. She was under weight, cold and starved for
attention. She was taken to the vet and nursed back to health. At that
same time I had finally gotten to a place where I wanted to take on the
responsibility of owning my own dog. I had grown up with dogs and they
always came us under less than normal circumstances. So the idea of
buying a dog was not an option. I will always adopt my dogs!! I had
started to look online at the local animal shelters to find my first dog
and was not having much luck. I happened to go to my friend's house to
ride out Hurricane Rita and met Abbie for the first time. She
immediately caught my eye because of her eyes! She has one brown eye
and one half brown, half blue! After a little begging I became the
proud mommy of Abbie! It was a match made in heaven. Abbie requires a
lot of attention and I am just the person to give it to her. Her
favorite past times are chasing squirrels, playing with her best friend,
Icez, and snuggling with me. She also loves to play hide and seek. I
hide and she finds me every time!! I couldn't have asked for a better
companion. Even when she tested positive for heart worms and I had to
fork over a large sum of money to treat her, I didn't think twice about
it. I would do anything for my baby!!
