About Us
Bambi, the Dog of the Day
Name: Bambi
Age: Two years old
Gender: Female Breed: Maltese
Home: Laguna Hills, California, USA

This is Bambi. She is the latest in a family that also includes two German Shepherds and a Lhasa Apso. She is absolutely adorable, and is as active as they come. Whether it be playing chase around the house, or fetching her toys, or even chasing the other dogs around, she is in constant motion and keeping the other dogs on their toes!

How did we come to have Bambi in our family? She originally belonged to an older lady, who had her for about a month. However, the lady found out that she was extremely allergic of dogs, and had to find another home for the little one. We were more than happy to oblige and instantly fell in love when first laying eyes on her. Ever since, she has been a loved member of the family, so much so that it is very difficult to believe how anyone could give her up!

How did we come to name her Bambi? As is always the case, coming up with a name is a very difficult process. Our Lhasa Apso's name is Pebbles. But, we often call her "Peb Peb" for short. We were going to name our dog Bam Bam, but seeing as how that is a guy's name, we thought that would not be a good idea. So, we decided on Bambi, which as you can see, can be shortened to "Bam Bam." So, we now have our very own version of "Pebbles and Bam Bam."

Bambi is very well taken care of and spoiled way too much, as she should be. It's very nice because the second I get home from work, I open the door and she is there to greet me, jumping up and down until I pet and hold her for many minutes.

She absolutely loves going on walks, and will jump up and down relentlessly the second she sees us carrying a leash. She hates to be alone and will follow you out of the room if she is left alone. She will always chase something down when you throw it, but unfortunately she will not return it! And, like I said earlier, she is very spoiled and as such demands to sleep on my bed. She will have it no other way!! And being the adorable cute dog she is, how can I refuse???
