This
is Joey, known to some as Ben Fur. Joey was adopted into our family
when he was two years old weighing in at only four pounds. We have now
fattened him up to about eight pounds. He was a very well behaved dog from the
very beginning, he is easy to take on a walk without a leash, and can be
let outside without ever leaving the yard. Being so small, Joey is the
target of many children's affection, which scares him a bit, but he
handles it like a pro. Joey's best and only trick is ringing a small bell
by the door when he wants to go outside.
Joey's best friend is his "Uncle Jeff" (my dad) who he follows around all
day long. Wherever my dad goes Joey is just two steps behind. Joey is very
good at telling time. When it's time for "Uncle Jeff" to come home from
work, Joey drops what he's doing and hops onto his footstool near the
window to watch and wait. Joey enjoys lying in the sun, burrowing in
between people who are sitting next to each other on the couch, riding in
the car, barking happily for attention, and chasing his puppy friend KC
around the yard. Joey has been such a blessing in our lives and we can't
remember how we got along without him.
