Dilly-Doo, the Dog of the Day
Name: Dilly-Doo
Age: Four years old
Gender: Female Breed: Pembroke Welsh Corgi
Home: Birmingham, Alabama, USA

This is my little girl. Her name is Dilys - better known as Dilly-Doo!

Dilly-Doo came to live with us here in Birmingham, Alabama in March of this year. She is a Canadian Champion, and when I first met her I thought, "What a dainty, sophisticated little girl!" Boy, was I wrong! We live near a state park where deer, squirrels, and other animals abound, and she immediately begin wearing a path around our fenced-in yard, probably trying to herd the deer! She will run around the fence until she's hot and thirsty, then will bound toward the water dishes to quench her thirst. However, because she's hot, she will step in the water dishes and get her feet wet. Then she'll go run around the fence again. At the end of her efforts to herd (or whatever is in her silly brain), she is a complete mud puppy!! At first I couldn't figure out how the water dishes were getting so muddy - then I caught her at it! I've tried getting raised water dishes, but she somehow still manages to get her feet in the dishes.

Another silly thing about this little girl is that she sleeps with her tongue sticking out. What a funny sight that is to behold. She loves to sit in my lap and snooze, and she loves to play with Bailey, our other corgi. As is typical of all corgis, she loves food, and both Dilly and Bailey know exactly when it's time for their meals and for their cookie treats! Both she and Bailey are delightful dogs, and they keep us entertained and busy laughing!
