Lily
is special because she is the sweetest, most considerate Great Dane
on the planet! She is my first rescue Great Dane and I love her to
pieces. All I can figure out is that the previous owners just didn't
want to keep her. There's nothing wrong with her! I've been a
Dachshund owner for 20+ years and love that breed to pieces, too.
That's Max she is sitting with so carefully - she's perched on the edge
of the chair, so he isn't getting squished!
Great Danes are snugglers to the max! She has to be with me all the
time and I love that. At her height, it's hard to ignore her when she
wants your attention...sitting in a chair, her face is level with mine!
We walk in the forest lands with a few neighbor friends. I should say
that Lily crashes through the forest lands while the Weimy she runs with
glides through! We have endless hours of laughs and giggles watching
her sniff everything in sight and run like a gazelle!
Lily likes to go bowling for humans. She and I were walking one day and
while she was desperately looking for that "perfect spot" to "do her
thing," she hit me with her shoulder and I went to the ground! After
she was done, she come over to me and looked at me as if to ask, "What
are you doing on the ground? Aren't we going for a walk?" I was
nursing my pride more than my hands and bum, so we got up and continued
our walk!
Lily is a friend to most everyone, though I'm quite certain she would
protect me with all her might if required. She doesn't drool like some
Danes. She gives the sweetest little kisses, though she could cover
your face with her tongue. She doesn't counter-surf like some Danes.
She walks beautifully on a leash. She is a happy dog who loves life!
She doesn't ever go far from my side when she's off leash... she's the
perfect dog and I love her so much! I hope you can see how beautiful and
sweet she is.
