Rowe-Quinn, the Dog of the Day
Name: Rowe-Quinn
Age: Three years old
Gender: Male Breed: German Shepherd Dog mix
Home: Austin, Texas, USA

Rowe-Quinn is especially special to me. He was a foster puppy and very early it was discovered that he was suffering from Hip Dysplasia. He was therefore considered "unadoptable," we were told, or rather, he didn't have much of a chance at being adopted because of his medical issues. Well, we disagreed, and he became our dog! His hips are not so bad that he needs surgery, hip dysplasia is common in many large breeds of dog, and can vary in severity.

Rowe-Quinn has so much personality, that he practically "talks". He does need help getting up onto just about everything - the bed, the couch, but that is okay... my dogs are not banned from the furniture, and we would rather help him than have him injure himself trying. He wags his tail and "tells" me he wants up. These are just a few of reasons he's my special boy.
