We
got our sweet Nell eight and a half years ago from what we later found out was a
backyard breeder. She is a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, and she stole our
hearts immediately. Three days later she was in intensive care at the
University of Minnesota Vet Hospital barely alive, plagued by a variety of
serious ailments. Because of their excellent care, she pulled through, to
grow up and become the beautiful girl she is to this day. Her full name is
Nellie Bean, but we usually call her Nell.
We are so thrilled that she not only pulled through but has energy plus
and a sweet disposition! My son captured her essence by stating "the world
is Nellie's toy !" She has a joy for life that spreads to all around her.
She is now 8 years old, and hasn't really slowed down much at all! She is
a terrier through and through.
When we moved to our new neighborhood we soon made many friends through
daily walks with Nell. Her spunk and personality makes friends of everyone
she meets, and because we were the ones with her, people got to know us,
too. She was our ambassador!
