Angie
is a Canine Good Citizen and is certified with Therapy Dog
International, Inc. I am a veterinarian and she comes to work with me
every day. She helps the whole practice by greeting clients, playing with
their children, and of course, begging for treats. On days when we are not
working at the animal hospital, we visit nursing homes where Angie loves
visiting the elderly patients.
Angie is a very special dog and most of all, my best friend.
As for tricks, she just know the basics like sit, stay, spin, down, come,
etc. She loves to carry around soft dog toys and of course, socks,
t-shirts and anything else she can find. She loves little kids and likes
to give them kisses and for her elderly friends, she knows just how to put
her head right under their hands so they can pet her. She is the perfect
golden retriever-- calm and sweet inside and likes to run around and be
crazy with other dogs while outside. Her favorite place to be is anywhere
there is water. She loves swimming in the lake, going to the dog beach and
hiking where there are streams to play in. This fall, she had problems
with her knees (ruptured ACL's) but had surgery on both knees to correct
the problem. Now she is doing wonderfully-- back to being a happy and
healthy dog!
