This
is Sierra, a.k.a. the Princess. I adopted her on July 21st 2002 after
seeing her listed on PetFinder with a German Shepherd rescue group. At
approximately six months of age she was picked up as a stray and was taken
to a local dog shelter where she snapped at the dog warden and because
of that she was labeled as a biter and was scheduled to be put to sleep.
Thank God she was pulled in time from the shelter by the rescue and
then became mine!!
She is my little drama queen. She howls, cries and carries on every day
when I come home from work. I don't know if she's telling me off for
leaving her at home or if she's just telling me how much she missed me.
Her best friend in the world is her brother Buddy that we adopted five
months after adopting her and she can't go a second without him nearby.
They truly were made for one another.
At 83 pounds, she's the best foot warmer in the World!! She'll wait till
I get comfy in bed then she'll jump up and curl up right on my feet!
She is also the laziest dog I've ever known! Some days I'll make her
wake up and go outside and as soon as she's out the door she lies back
down and falls asleep again even if it's snowing!
She loves destroying stuffies and I've been impressed by how fast she
can turn a cute fuzzy toy into a pile of garbage. Besides sleeping, her
favorite pastimes include licking her brother, couches, carpeting,
blankets, herself, me.... you name it and she's got her tongue on it!
(doggie OCD I tell ya!)
She loves trips to the dog park in Findlay, OH to meet up with other
fellow PetTalk
doggies and their humans! I've been asked a million times if she's part
wolf or husky, who knows. All that matters is that she's Mine!!
