Hooch
is a male boxer that we rescued from the pound five years ago. We
think he was maybe two years old at that time. He was deemed "vicious and
aggressive" and we were discouraged from taking him. He was such a
sad-looking thing. He had big eyes and a huge head along with a 60-pound,
emaciated body. My heart went right out to him. We decided we would take
him home and deal with whatever problems he had. Hooch turned out to be the
nicest dog we could have ever imagined. He has never shown us anything but
unconditional love and affection. He sleeps on our bed every night and gets
up on the recliner with me ... even though he now weighs a whopping 85
pounds. He loves to go for walks in the park and greets everyone he meets
with very grateful and content eyes and what I'm sure is a big "boxer" grin.
