Casey
is very special to me because she is my best friend in the world.
She is the most loyal dog that I have ever owned. She is always at my
side or laying at my feet. When I went through my divorce several years
ago she was a great comfort to me. She is always very excited to see me
when I return home from work. I always say that no single human being
has ever been so happy to see me as my dog!
Casey will be twelve years old in July 2008. She still seems to have a lot
of spunk and energy. As she has matured over the years she seems to be
a lot more verbal as well. If she wants something she will just come
and bark at me and I am supposed to figure out what it is that she
wants. Over the years her beautiful yellow face has turned very white
and her nose has turned rosier.
One of Casey's favorite toys is a hard plastic food cube. It has a hole
in the middle that you put small pieces of food or dog biscuits into.
As the dog rolls the cube, the food falls out. She also loves her
stuffed toys with squeakers. Whenever she is given a new stuffed toy
she immediately starts biting it to find the squeaker. She also likes
to chew the tag off.
Casey also loves to dress up. Over the years she has worn many
different costumes and is very cooperative whenever I dress her. I am
nominating Casey as Dog of the Day but she is always Dog of the Day in
my heart!
