Tanner
is a very cute and very special Yorkie. I think he is really smart
too. He can dance, beg, paw, sing, say please, hi-five, shake, and roll
over. Oh, and he just mastered another trick! He sits while I put a treat
on his nose. On the count of three, he tosses the treat and catches it.
Then he runs off because he likes to eat his treats in private!
Tanner was the biggest puppy in his litter of six. This was very unusual
for a Yorkie litter because the average litter is two to three puppies.
There were five boys and one little girl. We chose Tanner because he was
the biggest. He still is a big boy. He now is full grown and weighs eight
pounds. The average Yorkie weighs five to six pounds.
You will never find Tanner on the floor! He always is on a bed, pillow,
couch, etc. He loves soft places and laps and basking in the sunshine!
Now a word from Tanner himself...
Hi! I'm Tanner! I have heard that I'm the dog of the day and I think that
It is only fair that I can write a little.
I am a very spoiled puppy, and I actually really like that. I don't prefer
little doggie toys, I like really big ones! I like to shake them and throw
them and catch them then shake 'em again! It is so fun! I do not like it
when holes appear in my toys because they always disappear down that evil
trash can.
I sleep in Christina's bed every night, and she takes me out every
morning. I have a little yellow raincoat, and a homemade wind coat, and
one of my best friends, Dudley the Westie, gave me a fisherman vest with a
floppy hat that has ear holes!
I am very proud of myself, because I never chewed anything but toilet
paper. I just can't resist! I love the way it easily rrrrripppps!
I love sitting in Daddy's lap and watching basketball games on television.
I cheer for the Carolina Tar Heels.
I also just love the car! When I am given an opportunity to ride, I shiver
with excitement.
There is a little baby girl in the house who has just learned that I have
soft fur. Ow ow ow ow ow ow OW! I try to keep clear of her. I have never
bitten anybody, But I have a terrierific bark! The problem is, sometimes
visitors try to touch me while I am greeting them. That Is scary, and I
hide in my lair, (under the couch.)
Christina and I look at Dog of the Day almost every day, and we really
like this website. I am so happy to be the Dog Today. Thanks so much for
reading my page!
