This
is Mikey, he is fourteen years old and he is a Shetland Sheepdog, or
Sheltie for short. He is special because he brings great joy to our
lives. He's very old now and not up to all his crazy tricks, but we
give him credit for trying.
Most of the time Mikey can be quite independent - kind of like a cat
sometimes. Yet, at other times he can be very loving and sweet. It's
really all up to Mikey, when he wants affection, we gladly comply.
We had a Rottweiler. He passed away a year ago but it used to be quite
comical to watch them play together, even though Mikey weighs 20 pounds
and Timber weighed 120 pounds. Here is a picture of them playing - which
Mikey was always glad to do, despite being vastly outweighed!
