Electra
has a super loving caring quality that I've never seen before. My
husband died not long ago. Electra has mourned greatly along with me. When
she sees or feels I am upset, she comes and lays right in my arms, giving
me her special kisses. She still runs to the window when she thinks she
hears Daddy's truck. It's so sad to see the obvious letdown and confusion
on her face. She's kept me going. Many days I didn't want to get out of
bed but she pestered me for play time. I'd be lost without her.
Electra is twelve pounds and is kind of shy of new people. She's a mommy's
girl and will sit on my lap to either feel safe herself or protect me.
People have to earn her trust. She is not pushy at all. She'll sit across
the room watching me eat something, just in case I might share. She has to
be called to come and get it.
Electra is a cuddle bug. She gets up in my lap and flops herself
backwards. She'll lay forever in the crook of my arm just being held and
getting a chest rub. Electra was nine weeks old when we got her and she came
into the truck with us right away. She and her doggy sister Harley loved
traveling with us coast to coast every week. She has more miles on her
than most people.
Electra tends to let other dogs know it's her house when they come to
visit. Then she ignores them. Only she often lays just inside the doggy
door so the others can't come in unless I tell her to move. She ends up
liking other little dogs but shies away from bigger ones. She thinks
anything smaller than her is to be carried around like a puppy.
Her favorite game is bugging Harley. She pesters her until she finally
comes to play. Both are just sweet lovable dogs that make it all
worthwhile for me. They've been a reason for me to keep going since my
husband died. Electra truly kept me alive in ways hard to say.
