Kaos
is very special for many reasons. She is a wonderful watchdog. I am
disabled due to Lupus and also from having five Spinal Fusions, and she
will not let anyone in the house unless I say "It is okay, Kaos." I spend
most of my time in bed due to needing to be laying flat, so I use my
laptop for that time. While I am in bed, she will not let anyone in the
bedroom - even my husband. I need to tell her that it is Daddy and then
she will let him in. Also, if I drop something on the floor, she will pick
it up for me. She has a great amount of energy. Though Yorkies are
supposed to weigh between five and eight pounds, Kaos weighs twelve
pounds. But she is not fat, the vet says she is very solid and also very
strong. She is also very shy. If we are walking and see another person
walking a dog or just people walking, she will sit and look and then start
to bite her leash and pull me towards home.
Kaos also has many different outfits and every day we go to her cubby
where her clothes are and together we pick out her outfit for that day.
Then if it is a cold night, after dinner, she will help me pick out her
PJ's for the night. I also have many hairstyles for her, from a
ponytail on the top of her head, to a bun on the top all the way to even
a braid down the back. She loves to sit still while I braid her hair.
I call her my "Little Diva".
With Valentine's Day coming up very soon, she will be ready to go with
all of her many outfits in red and pink. Also, her barrettes and bows
are in red and pink. She also has many heart-shaped barrettes. I think
Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays and having Kaos makes it
more special. She is just so loveable and cuddly that you cannot help
but to love her and want to rock her in the rocking chair.
Kaos is very intelligent and can learn anything that she is taught.
Even though she is a watch dog and does protect me, she still is a
loveable dog and I would say the most important quality that makes her
special is her ability to be so loveable. She is more like a child than
a dog. My husband and I say that since my son is 23 and out on his own,
that Kaos is the little girl that I always wanted.
We live in a huge two-family home. It is the house that I grew up in.
My sister, her husband and their twelve-year-old Yorkie named Nanook live
upstairs, and my husband, Kaos and myself moved into downstairs when my
Mom passed away fifteen months ago. My sister works full time so Nanook is
with Kaos and myself while my sister is at work. I cannot work due to
being disabled, so Kaos has always been with me. The only time my
husband and I go out is when I have a doctor appointment. We have tried
to leave her upstairs with my sister and Nanook, thinking it would be
good for her to socialize, but my sister said that within five minutes
after we left, she cried and finally wanted to come back downstairs. My
sister said that Kaos cried (actually whined very loudly), and sat in
the corner just waiting for me. Once I came home she instantly stopped
and was back to being Kaos again. So I would say that what really makes
her special is that she and I have a very special and unique bond. I
love her so much and I know she feels the same.
