Our
dog Skipper is one and half years old. When we rescued him about a
year ago, we were told he was a Yellow Lab mixed with a Beagle. We just
discovered, after doing some research, that he is actually a Lab mixed
with a Whippet. It definitely made sense to us, considering Skipper can
jump six feet in the air and outrun any dog in the park. He loves to
cuddle and protect his friends and family. Other than his bad habit of
de-beading every pillow, rug, flip-flop or tank top in my house, he is a
wonderful dog and I would recommend this breed mix to anyone looking for a
wonderful dog with lots of energy.
Some of his favorite hobbies include going to the dog park, swimming in the
ocean, running in the ocean, going on our boat to the sandbars or being chased
by other dogs. There are plenty of days where Skipper will get in our boat
and sit there until we go out on it. It is very rare that he tires out, no
matter how hard he plays.
Skipper went from a foster home in Miami to a loving home in beautiful Key
West, Florida. He is our world.
