Chica
is special for so many reasons. She is very protective over me, her
Papi, and her home. Even though she is very little she has a big
personality and would jump between me and the biggest thing if she thought
I was in trouble. She can be the biggest clown and always has us laughing.
She loves to get dressed up and go out, and she always gets lots of
attention. She is a good traveler, whether it's a car ride, a boat ride or
a plane ride. She acts nice and well-behaved, like she knows that's what
she's supposed to do. She loves Nantucket in the summer, and seeing all
the different doggies walking around the streets there. She is always
happy to see me, and gets so excited that she starts snorting and
coughing. It can just make my whole day to have someone so excited that I
am home.
I have some health problems and it seems like Chica knows when I am down
and need a laugh, or just need some loving attention. Sometimes when I
don't feel well, I just have to see that cute face looking up at me or
have her bring over a toy to play with and she makes everything a little
easier to handle. She loves to curl up on my lap when it's quiet time, or
crawl under the covers at bedtime. She is such a loving dog. Chica is so
very special to her family, I have to say she is one of the best things
that ever happened to me.
