Ringo
is a very special dog and we were very happy when we could adopt him
from CGRR. He is so calm and laid back, so easy going. He does love his
stuffed animals and always grabs them when he is walking by his basket which
is full of his toys. Our kitchen floor ends up with quite a few during the
day. He enjoys squeaking them but doesn't chew them and rip them apart. Ringo
is a lover of food and is under foot when I am in the kitchen cooking. We have
snack times at 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and if I forget he will come and
remind me that it is time for his doggie biscuit.
Ringo loves taking walks and chasing chipmunks. The squirrels he just ignores
now, since he is so used to them. We adopted him when he was seven and a half
when I saw his picture on the CGRR web site and he sounded just right for us.
We have adopted Senior Golden Retrievers in the past and they have always
worked out fine. I highly recommend adopting senior dogs so they can enjoy
their latter years in comfort. We always keep their given names and it works
out fine. Life is so much better with a Golden by your side. Ringo is a
treasure!
